This is fabulous. Louis Jordan live and in colour from the 1960s. Louis Jordan’s music is timeless, it will never age. The man was a complete genius, a great writer and performer.

Yes Indeedy! – Louis Jordan was one of my first blues/RnB loves.

I had a best of LP that I played to death. To me his songs sound as strong today as they ever did. A true pioneer, a true genius, a fabulous writer, vocalist and sax-man.

What’s the use in getting sober? Let the good times roll and remember that there ain’t nobody here but us chickens.

Must agree with you two esteemed gents – top stuff indeed. Think it comes from “The Beat” tv show that was made in Dallas – some of the house band are on the excellent Freddie King clips on YouTube from the same programme.
