Blues in the North East

Here’s a short trailer about blues in the North East of the country (plus a couple of clear non North Easters).  There is no doubt that this part of the UK has got a blues pedigree.

I can even see my old mate Brian Lynam from No Time For Jive in there, twice.

Great to see Ray Stubbs in action again - top bloke! Mind you I’m biased as he is a fellow Gateshead lad (cue abuse from Lionel!). He played a couple of blinding sets at Wrexham (aah, those were the days).

I enjoyed the clip too Grah…
Come and relive those days at Worthenbury on May 18th when Stubbsy makes a long overdue welcome return. One of British blues top men and with a propah Geateshid accent. Incidentally …me ooncle was a weldah from Geatshid… sorry Grah, that’s a crap attempt at writing in the Geordie vernacular.

No need for us to waste our time skitting Geordies and Tykes - nature has beaten us to it.
