Geoff Achison and The Souldiggers
at the Harbourside Club, Liverpool Marina
Thursday 28th June 2007 (doors open at 8pm)

This gig forms part of a two-week British tour by Australian singer/guitarist Geoff Achison. It is Geoff’s twelfth tour of the UK, which testifies to his considerable popularity over here. In that time, he has enthralled many an audience in the North West with his gritty vocals and phenomenal guitar playing.

The Souldiggers comprise a wonderful array of musicians: Sam Kelly on drums, Dave Clark on bass and Paul Jobson on keyboards. Together with Geoff Achison, they present a formidable blues ensemble that will match any line-up in the country. Their musical catalogue covers a wide range of the blues spectrum, with frequent glimpses into the jazzier and funkier corners of the genre.

Geoff Achison’s performances are unfailingly energetic and his highly individual guitar playing never ceases to amaze. He has recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and is increasingly in demand on the USA circuit. This could therefore be a rare visit, which reinforces its status as one not to be missed.

Liverpool Marina is situated at Coburg Wharf, Sefton Street, Liverpool L3 4BP.
