It looks like the highlight of the summer will be the Maryport Blues Festival. I have received the final press release and the line-up is very impressive.

Van Morrison, one of music’s most creative, prolific and popular figures, will headline the 9th Maryport Blues Festival, performing with his 11 piece band on the main marquee stage on Saturday July 28th. Another Belfast musician and one of the finest rock blues guitarists of all time, Gary Moore, will headline the Friday evening.

In addition, over 25 bands, representing the best in British Blues, will perform will perform in pubs and clubs around town from Friday to Sunday night.

Maryport in West Cumbria is earning a reputation for hosting one of the best blues festivals and most scenic in the UK and this year promises to top all previous festivals.
