**MORE GREAT BLUES THIS WEEKEND**

What could be better than this. Two excellent bluesmen playing together at a beer festival.

Roger Kenyon writes….

Just a quick note to let you know that Pete Price and Johnny Hewitt (Singer & harp player with Smokehouse Blues) will be performing at the village hall Appleton Thorn on Sunday night as part of the Beer Festival.

There’s an entrance charge to the beer festival of £2 (which gets you a souvenir glass), but the gig itself is free.

A great night’s entertainment is in prospect and it would be nice to pack the place out with people who really appreciate quality live music from local performers with national reputations.

I admit that I had to look up the location of Appleton Thorn (don’t blame me, I’m only a “comer-in” adopted Cestrian, I am originally from God’s own county, the great republic of Yorkshire). Appleton Thorn is close to Warrington.
