Ray’s playlist

If anyone didn’t catch Ray O’ Hare’s blues show on WMNF 88.5 last night (like me who felt obliged to hand over the computer to a family of bandwidth greedy vultures) then the playlist is available here.

Actually I’ll make it even easier and post the playlist right here…..

 Artist — Track — Album/CD
Luther Allison — Blues Thing — Reckless
Ian Siegal — Groundhog Blues — Swagger
Sugarland Slim — Red House — BHlues This Bad
Cadillac Kings — Bombshell Blonde — Cadillac Kings
Les Marvellous Pig Noise — Kokomo — Live au Sax
The Band — The Weight — last waltz
Harry Skinner Band — Down Home Girl — Harry Skinner Band
RORY GALLAGHER/TASTE — Railway and Gun —
Little G Weevill — Girl I Love — unhknown
Revolutionaires — Stormy Monday — All Revved Up
Ian Siegal — Butter Side Up — Meat & Potatoes
Big Joe Louis — Back Door Slam — Big Sixteen
Better Watch Your Step — —
Ernie’s Rhythm Section — cc rider — Only For the Pleasure

No surprises that Ian Siegal featured.  It looks like it was a fine show.

Nice to hear Ray’s dulcet tones clearly from ‘across the pond’, and especially great to hear the Taste track – must take exception with Ray’s opinion that the Taste stuff was better than the solo material. As a huge Rory fan his best period for me was without doubt from 1972 to around 1976, which included the two mega live releases – “Live In Europe” and “Irish Tour” – both essential listening! Great show from Florida though, was amazed how many shows Larry gave out for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, both gigs and jams – they seem to be spoilt livewise!
