The gig was at the Village Hall, Castor near Peterborough and was arranged by a mate of mine, Gerard Homan who is the founder of the wonderful Shakedown Blues club.
The band was Big Joe Louis on guitar,Steve “West” Weston on harp, Pete Wingfield on keys, Matt Radford on bass and Pete Greatorex on drums and Gerard said it was one of the best gigs he had ever put on with Mud (real name Larry Williams) being an absolute spit of his famous father.
I have joined up with Gerard on a number of times to bring people like Robert Belfour and Louis Youngblood over to the UK but it wasn’t possible to arrange a gig this time in Worthenbury for Mud, but we hope to bring him over later in the year and he WILL then play Worthenbury.
Check Gerard’s website to see the list of legends who have played in Castor village hall – you’ll be very surprised.

Would be great Pete if you could get the same band . . . now, that would be a treat!

I’d love to Gra but I fear that that line-up would be farly costly – be assured that I’d put together a good northern backing band.
