Gig: Tommy Allen and Johnny Hewitt – Macclesfield – 20 March

Posted on: Saturday, Mar 15, 2008

Here’s some great news from Pete Evans.

Tommy Allen from Trafficker and Johny Hewitt from Smokehouse have teamed up as an acoustic duo and will be playing the NW blues circuit very shortly.  They came together a couple of weeks ago and in rehearsal gelled superbly introducing a good cross section of covers and self penned tracks.
They share vocal duties and Tommy will be playing acoustic 6 string, 12 string, resonator, mandolin and banjo whilst Johny will provide his trademark superb harmonica playing.
They will continue to play with their respective bands as per normal but Tommy will soon be announcing some personnel changes to Trafficker which will please the more bluesy members of their fan base.

Details of the duo’s first gig is as listed below:-
