The Harpbreakers return

Pete Evans forwarded me this email from my old mate Nigel of the Harpbreakers. Great to see the lads back out and playing live. I hope that the other fondly remembered northwest outfit Down at Antone’s will also return again this year. Here’s the mail from Nigel.

As you may know The Harpbreakers split up a few years ago due to illness and external pressures but we recently (five weeks ago) got back together and did a couple of rehearsals. We played a gig after three rehearsals which went down a storm and did another the following week which went even better. We got gigs off the back of both these and have decided to put everything back on the road. We already have a support playing with Water Melon Slim and the Workers at the Academy in Manchester and a possible support for Joe Bonamassa at The Royal Albert Hall. We are in discussion with one of the promoters of the event. I really hope this comes off as you can imagine. We will be going into the studio in two months and already have half a dozen new songs for it.

Perhaps you and Nigel could get your heads together and organise a joint gig? What do you think?

Brilliant news! The mighty, mighty Harpbreakers return led by my old mate and erstwhile neighbour, Nigel! Really looking forward to seeing them perform again.
