Behind the music of Cadillac Records

Posted on: Saturday, Dec 13, 2008

Well!  The film has opened in the US and some of the blues guys online are a bit miffed because the story is not true.  There are too few Chess brothers, Muddy’s doo-rag was not right, the guy playing Walter does not mime well enough and Walter kills a guy.  Welcome to the movies.

Here’s an article from Vanity Fair on the behind-the-scenes stories on how the music was made.

Aye, bloody Hollywood eh – don’t think Muddy ever played his slide licks on a Les Paul either, Gibson SG or Telecaster!
