Blackpool Charity Festival looking for bands

Posted on: Tuesday, Jan 20, 2009

Iain Brownbridge is organising a music festival in Blackpool in May (22nd, 23rd and 24th) called North By Northwest.  He has a number of non-blues acts already booked but are looking for some blues talent.

It is 3 days, four venues and 70 bands.

Electric slots are one hour and acoustic slots 30 mins.

The festival is purely for charity and to “bring some culture to Blackpool other than the “binge drink” culture”.  As a result there is no payment for the acts but a rhythm section backline is available (minus snare and cymbals).

The charity is the Tommy castles Trust/Tommyfest.

For information or to apply for a slot contact nxnw@hotmail.co.uk or check out the MySpace.
