BBC Blues Night

Posted on: Wednesday, Apr 29, 2009

This Friday 01 May will be blues night on the BBC.  As well as Taj Mahal on the Jools Holland programme BBC4 will feature a whole evening of blues related content.

Of course you could have watched Jools and Taj on Tuesday.

Looking forward to Friday night . . . the BBC ‘Britannia’ series have all been very good . . . let’s hope all the interviewees are blues people though!

. . . . apparently “Newsnight” on BBC2 also features a film about BB King on the road in the US on his latest tour . . . probably in the review section.

Having watched a couple of programmes on Friday night I caught up with another last night. On Friday I watched “Blues at the BBC” and last night the “Blues on Later”.

I didn’t realise how many of the “later” programmes I had missed.

So far, all the programmes that I have seen have been worth a watch, the weakest was “Can Blue men…etc” but even that is worth it just to see hear Keef’s Marlboro and JackieD laugh.

All still available on iPlayer.
