Sorry for the lack of activity

Things have been pretty quiet here at bluesinthenorthwest.com central.

Grahame was on holiday for two weeks and I was away on business until Wednesday night.  Thursday and Friday were busy busy busy for me hence no work on the website.

I hope to catch up over the next couple of days.

Cheers

Grahame – Were you under the weather due to a bug or illness or the news about Chester FC?

I’ve bought a number of good cds whilst on holiday – Muddy Waters new “Authorized Bootleg” Live at the Fillmore West 1966 – very good indeed with superb harp from George Smith and great guitar from Luther Johnson and Sammy Lawhorn.
I also have Buddy Guy “Live at The Checkerboard Lounge” originally released in 1979, also very good and Rev Payton’s Big Damn Band and their latest “The Whole Fam Damnily”. These guys are wild and I hope they come to the UK soon.
Finally although not really blues but nontheless an excellent cd is The Derek Trucks Band’s “Already Free”. He is a superb guitarist and he has a brlliant vocalist in Mike Mattison.

Hi Pete – Unfortunately it looks as if Jacqui and Imogen both returned with swine flu, with me picking up the ‘tail end’ of it – both a lot better now thankfully! Don’t even get me started on SVFC – some say it’s a cunning plan, -25 AND a game in hand! Sounds like you picked up some good stuff – both Ken and I are pretty keen on Derek Trucks.
