Rotten news Ken. Another wonderful harp player gone. But at least he was gigging almost to the end.
I’d always thought Norton Buffalo had played the fantastic harp on the studio version of “Livin’ in the USA” off the 1968 Steve Miller album “Sailor” (def. one of my desert island discs), but he was only 17 back then & hadn’t yet joined them. However he did a magnificent job with the Miller band onstage for over 30years, plus some lovely solo albums & duets with Roy Rogers.
Real shame. Great harmonica player, great singer, great name!
