Gig: The Producers – The Brickyard, Carlisle – 27 Mar 2010

Message from promoter Chris Denton….
Now then its The Producers supported by Feed Me next saturday 27th at The Brickyard. Because of Carlisle being at Wembley the next day we need as much support as possible – this was booked over 6 months ago and must go ahead. The Producers did of course win the best blues band in Britain a number of times in the 90’s.
Feed Me are an exciting young band who have had a lot of press exposure recently and get really good ‘feedback’. They are very much a Blues / Rock band and are touring and playing all around the county.
As a result I thought I would encourage any young musicians in the local area between 14 and 18 to come to the gig at the Brickyard and meet the guys, ask them questions on how they got a band together and basically network to find other young musicians interested in Blues / Rock. I know that musicians in the schools are often short of potential band members and lack the chance of finding other musicians
The youngsters between 14 and 18 can get in the Brickyard for only £3 and see two cracking bands. Those between 14 and 16 must bring a parent under the license restrictions. As a local promoter I would like to see some young blues bands in Carlisle and if any get it together I would give them a support slot for one of the major artists I put on – if they can make the grade. The doors will open at 7.00 so any musicians can come down and meet the bands, Feed Me will start at 8.00 and The Producers at 9.30
It’ll be a great night and would be good to get some younger Blues fans. I know loads of youngsters who think Joe Bonamassa is great yet don’t go and see the great British bands……shocking!
