Gig: Urban Blues Collective – Club 35, Carlisle – 24 Apr 2010

Posted on: Tuesday, Apr 20, 2010

Powerhouse Blues drummer, Dave Raeburn, brings his newly formed ‘Urban Blues Collective’ to Carlisle’s Club 35, Lowther Street on Saturday 24th April.  Its only the second outing for this experimental band led by Raeburn who has played with some of Britians most famous Blues musicians including the Nimmo’s, Sean Webster and King King.

The band is compromised of a mixture youth and experience. Ash Wilson is a young firebrand of a guitarist who has raised eyebrows among his peers with his style and delivery. Sean Webster is well known in the area for his heartfelt and emotional guitar playing and will be showcasing for this gig his vocal talents to allow Ash to take centre stage. Dave Raeburn teams up with bassist Tom Latham to provide a strong rhythm section that takes no prisoners.

Support for night is provided by the acoustic guitar player and singer known as ‘Tom’. He was heard playing in an underpass by promoter Chris Denton who being impressed by his talent immediately asked him to support the gig. How Rock n Roll is that!!

Tickets for the gig are available from Club 35 – £7 in advance £8 on the night. Contact Chris Denton 07793019958
