Here are the confirmed details for the upcoming Booze n Blues Festival to be held at The Box, Crewe on 08 and 09 May 2010.

We start Saturday 8th May at 3pm with the show being opened by the Liverpool Legend Joey Shields!

Joey’s been playing Rhythm & Blues in some top Liverpool bands since the 60s – YES, he’s very old!! But with age comes experience, wit & a passion for this music.

Joey will host the complete 2 day event & perform (in his inimitable style) some timeless blues standards including “Spoonful” “Terrorplane” and “Key to the Highway”

MojoJim & The Muddy Wulfs

A classy blues group from South Wales – they keep delivering electrifying authentic blues & scorching lives shows to thunderous applause. They will be playing both days – see the line up for further info.
Joey & The Wheels

Joey is joined on stage by “The Wheels” – described as “one of the tightest Blues & Rhythm sections on the circuit”. Joey will move the pace up with some songs delivered with a style that’s all of his own.
The Producers

Recently reformed after an 8 year abscence – The band, fronted by Harry Skinner on guitar & vocals & Big Dave Saunders on bass won top UK Blues Band over 4 consecutive years before going their separate ways in 2002.

Now they’re back! Harry & Dave still front the band ably assisted by Ray Drury on Hammond & Biff Smith on drums. They have some new songs in the set – be prepared for an outstanding performance by a major, major band.
The Stumble

“This band is so good I want to take them back to America with me” – Lazy Lester

“So you thought Blues Music was about sitting around in a dimly lit club, tapping feet & being uncool – Well these boys will show you where it’s at!!! In one word SUPERB” – Phillippe LeGuennec – Blues France
The Stumble close off the show on day 1 & guarantee you’ll be jumping all the way home.

So with Neil Partington from Forty 4, that’ll be two “Liverpool lefties” on the bill.
