Venue: Jax Country Bistro – Bulkeley

Here is some more information on the new location for live music in the region.

Gigs at Jax Bistro start on Thursday the 9th September, doors open at 7pm and The Hexmen kick off at about 9pm.  At the break everybody gets well fed with good grub such as Jax own FREE RANGE chicken, ribs, chilli, etc.

Of course there is a full premises license, the cost of this little lot is a mere £10 a ticket and you can purchase tickets by ringing the bistro on 01829 720851.

The restaurant is situated on the A534 Wrexham road, Bulkeley Cheshire SY14 8BX (NOT Buckley in North Wales). Head out of Chester from the Sainsburys roundabout on the A41 for 10 miles, then turn left at the Broxton roundabout onto the A534 Wrexham Road, go past the Olive Grove, the Sandstone, and the Bickerton Poacher (speed camera on sharp bend) 200yds after passing the Poacher you’ll see us them the left  – Jax Country Bistro  simply speaking it is two roads out of Chester 20 minutes.

Jax will be putting bands on every four weeks or so, preferably on a Thursday night but this may change to a Friday or Saturday depending on public demand.

Always good to have a new live music venue, but just wondering if the people at Jak’s have liaised with the guys who run the regular monthly jam at The Red Lion, Malpas, as they aren’t a million miles apart?

I think that those are stuffed olives – an unusual dish to be served with two whole roast chickens.

Yeah, a bit small for sprouts . . . olives and chicken, yummy!
