.44 Pistol 1

Sept 17th 2010

.44 Pistol plus Crossfire

True Blues

Earlestown

For a young band, .44 Pistol provided the True Blues Club audience with two rip roaring sets of fantastic entertainment. To say it was “different” would be an understatement! Frontman Peter on Guitar, Harp & Vox must have a degree in mountaineering as he climbed and balanced on a 11/2″ rail and played and sang at the same time! He had a tough act to follow from last month (Junkhouse Dog), but he was up to the task. Definitely a band to watch out for!

Crossfire opened the evening with another blistering set which included further new material written by guitar man Brian Filson. I made the mistake of jokingly saying Jon should have a drum solo, on their last number we were treated to a 5 minute drum solo which had the audience cheering and clapping half way through! Watch out for their next CD, it should be awesome!
