Gig: Jon Amor + Blueflies – Carlisle – 06 Nov 2010
Posted on: Saturday, Oct 23, 2010
There’s a Blues double header on the 6th of November with the Blueflies and Jon Amor.
The gig is being held in the Tithe Barn from 7.30 till 12.00.
Wiltshire’s Jon Amor returns to Carlisle with the promise of showcasing some new material he has been working on and the Blueflies return after a break of a couple of years with their own inimitable brand of blues/rock/funk. The Blueflies from York were of course members of soul legends Zoot and the Roots who played many times in the city in the 80’s and of course Miles Gilderdale is a member of jazz supergroup Acoustic Alchemy. He takes time out from the smooth Acoustic alchemy sound to showcase his amazing guitar skills.
Tickets are £10 and the first band will start at 8.00.
On the 27th of November Mick Pini will be playing at the Brickyard. He is travelling over from Germany for a short tour and is playing with a cracking band so dont miss this rare opportunity.
Remember the Carlisle Blues Fest is on shortly and it has a great line up so make sure you dont miss out.
