The Blues Gang play a mixture of blues, jazz and rock, have headlined at the The International Guitar Festival Of Great Britain and feature a host of talented musicians including Steve Wright on Guitar, lead vocals from Alan Lynch, bass guitar and backing vocals from Jonathan Starkey, not forgetting Roy Martin on keyboards and backing vocals

Steve Wright had a love of music from a young age, At the age of nine, his Dad bought him his first acoustic guitar from Frank Hessy’s in Liverpool, and he joined his first band aged fourteen. By the time he was sixteen, he was playing in The Chris Carma Road Show supporting Motown Artists, Charlie & Inez Fox, The Crystals etc. Throughout 1970’s he worked with a great variety of people from Detroit Emeralds to supporting Johnny Guitar Watson. Steve was in the resident band at The Cavern Club, Liverpool playing heavy rock with The Klubbs/Wardog for 18 months supporting all the major bands at the time. Steve is also a talented writer and composer, he wrote the themes for Brookside, Waterfront Beat and Hollyoaks and co wrote the Grange Hill Musical again with Phil Redmond.

Alan Lynch started out as a ‘Roadie’ with local bands in Liverpool and progressed to some famous and infamous world renowned artists including  Pino Palladino, the late great John Entwistle, Slade, Paul Young , Adam & The Ants as well as tours with The Who, The Stray Cats, Joe Cocker and Ray Charles

Roy was a member of one of Liverpool’s top bands, Motion Pictures and did recordings with Aretha Franklin, Cock Robin, Fatback Band’s Gerry Thomas and soul diva Regina Belle and was as even the drummer for Ant and Dec as they brought their pop careers to a close with a UK tour, culminating with a sold out show at The Royal Albert Hall. In 1998, Roy started working with French superstar Patricia Kaas and for the next 10 years completed 4 world tours with her, playing in 24 countries to millions of people playing arenas from Paris to Shanghai, Moscow, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Roy played on 5 albums for Patricia, who is France’s biggest selling female artist worldwide, having sold 19 million albums.
