Posted on: Saturday, Nov 20, 2010

Goin’ Up The Country Blues Club
Worthenbury Village Hall – Friday Nov 26th, 8pm for 9pm – £12

These two great blues men make their first appearances at Worthenbury as part of a large UK tour on Friday November 26th.

Ian has in recent years pushed himself to the front of the UK blues scene winning many awards and plaudits from the British and European music press and is one of the few British artists to make an impact in the USA.

Accompanying himself on acoustic and resonator guitar, he is particularly renowned for his superb voice and stage presence.

From the USA, one man band Ben Prestage is making his 1st UK tour. The son of a Mississippi sharecropper, Ben grew up in the Florida swamplands and has merged the Delta blues with the raw swampland style of blues.

He has been described as a younger and better version of Seasick Steve especially when he plays the 3 string cigar box guitar and he is a truly gifted musician.

Each artist will play an individual set before joining together for a final set for what promises to be a great gig.

As of now there are only a handful tickets left so if you want one, be sure to reply asap or call 01948 770215
