CLARE FREE
“How It Is” (4-track EP)

(Free download at www.clarefree.co.uk)

Here’s a nice free 4-track download from British guitarist / singer Clare Free, available from her website – which also has everything you need to know about the lady!

The opening “Funky Mama’s Kitchen Blues” is the standout, with some excellent Albert Collins-flavoured guitar licks and a really nice groove; the following “My Perfect Man” takes the pace down for this ballad with some more tasteful playing . . . . if you like Gary Moore’s more melodic work this will be for you.

The live “She’s An Evil Woman”, is a strutting blues, which becomes a nice shuffle; with a dip into SRV territory and style on the closing “I Won’t Lie”, again live, with its Texas-flavoured guitar work and blistering solo, with driving rhythm section.
