Dave Heath of the Stumble retires

Posted on: Thursday, Feb 3, 2011

I recently posted some news about Boyd and Colin from The Stumble looking for musicians for a new blues venture to run alongside The Stumble.

Part of that news was that long time north west bass player Dave Heath has decided to hang up his Fender and retire from regular gigging.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks to Dave for his contribution to the NW blues scene.

Here is Dave sporting a Village People mussie in Cold Shot (1990s I suppose)

and here he is more recently with The Stumble.

Ah, good old Cold Shot . . . saw them initially at upstairs at Jones’s on the end of City Road in Chester, £2 to get upstairs to see the band, including food and late bar! Managed to get them at gig at Alexander’s on the back of that . . . that’s the era the great promo pic hails from, lol. Top band in my opinion . . . got labelled as a SRV tribute but were always more than that. Have a nice retirement Dave.
