Since releasing their debut album; ‘The Way It Goes…Sometimes’, in 2009 through Amsterdam based roots-rock label Coolbuzz (www.coolbuzz.nl), Hokie Joint have been taking the European club and festival circuits by storm. In just 3 short years together, Hokie Joint have built up a grand reputation, and received countless rave reviews all over Europe (see link below) for their dramatic live shows and unique, dirty and original take on Blues/Roots music. With prestigious UK and Dutch magazines, MOJO and REVOLVER; respectably describing Hokie Joint as a; “promising blueprint for the future” and as having an “approach that is both new and recognisable.”

Hokie Joint’s rise to success has seen them sharing bills throughout 2009/10 alongside legendary artists including Steve Winwood, Booker T and the late, great Solomon Burke at major festivals throughout Europe including the BRBF (Peer, Belgium), Moulin Blues (Holland) and Maryport (UK).

2011 has seen much anticipation from fans, promoters and critics alike, as the band are set to release their 2nd studio album; ‘The Music Starts To Play’ as well as embark on their busiest year of touring to date. Highlights include appearances at Blues Passion (Cognac, France), Blues Du Zinc (France), Ribs en Blues (Holland) and for the 2nd year running the Maryport Blues Festival (UK), clearly this is a band who are going places fast!
