Hokie Joint
Garston Royal British Legion
Friday 10th June 2011 (doors: 8pm, show: 8.45pm)

Hokie Joint is a five-piece band from Colchester, fronted by charismatic singer, Jo Jo Burgess, who is part Tom Waits, part Howlin’ Wolf. He is ably supported by great young guitarist, Joel Fisk, superlative harmonica player, Giles King, driving bassist, Fergie Fulton, and  mesmerising drummer, Stephen Cutmore.

Over the past few years, the band has been fast developing an extensive coterie of fans and they have taken several festivals by storm including those at Maryport and Carlisle. They combine a deep respect for the blues with a unique, vibrant delivery that is nothing less than spellbinding.
