Gig: Fundraiser for Steve Brown – Liverpool Marina – 29 Oct

Posted on: Sunday, Sep 25, 2011

Featuring Forty 4, Blues Boy Dan and special guests.

Liverpool Marina – 29 Oct 2011

Northwest bass player Steve Brown has been diagnosed with cancer and will be out of action for a considerable while.  Steve is self employed and finds himself struggling very hard to make ends meet at home with zero income apart from the small amount he gets from the state.

His bandmates, the excellent Liverpool based roots, rock, blues and funk band Forty 4 have organised a fundraising event to raise money to help Steve through his recovery. They have recruited Blues Boy Dan one of the undoubted stars of the Worthenbury Festival to co-appear.  I firmly expect that other musical  guests may also be there to add to the event.

Tickets are £8 and can be obtained from Neil – 07748 182 722 , Paul  – 07919 918 119 or John Welsh – 0151 428 2855

I’m very sorry to hear Steve’s news, I’ve only met him once at the Malpas blues jam, where we chatted at length, but he’s obviously a top bloke. If we can help out in any way, please feel free. Best wishes from he Shedbrothers
