The Adrian Gautrey Band.
3rd   November 2011
The Hop Pocket

BJ’S Blues Club

The Adrian Gautrey Band,  from the Southport area took the stage by storm and performed out of their skin to a packed crowd. This terrific trio played  their Rock /Blues music with passion and style and have lost non of their commitment to this musical

Influenced by the rock giants from both sides of the Atlantic, the likes of ZZ Top, Hendrix, Whitesnake, Free, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Deep Purple, AC/DC and Queen –  something for everybody here  to enjoy.

Adrian, a master of the lead/ slide guitar, gave a rich performance and stamped his own style on these classic covers,.  His lead vocal role was superb – my  particular favourite was  “Wishing Well”,  by Free, an uncanny vocal resemblance of the original track.

The rhythm section was rock solid through out the show, on bass guitar Karl Nadin a fabulous musician and on the drums,  Niall  Williams – a  perfect performance.

This band have been making a name for themselves throughout the Northwest, paying attention to details and building an entertaining show.

It is no surprise to me that they are in high demand; as I have witnessed they do create a fabulous atmosphere.

I wish them all the best.
