22 December 2011
BJ’S Blues Club

A party atmosphere was created at BJ’s Blues Club,  when Blues/Rock band,  ” GOODFELLAS”,  hit town.

This great trio set out their stall to have a good time and they did.  The packed crowd was also in a  party mood and were entertained from first to last from the bands extensive repertoire.

Gary Jon  on lead guitar and lead vocal founded the band in 2007 and immediately enlisted bass player and friend Lol Halpin.  The other half of this tight performing rhythm section was drummer  Tony Fitzgerald, who has only been with them since March this year.

Music covers from King Elvis, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and many, many more.

Gary set the pace and drove the band on,  number after number.  Excellent guitar and slide work from him.  Gary told me that the band will in the not to distant future be starting work  on their first CD,  which will be available in 2012.

This band based in the Northwest are talented musicians beyond all doubt and I wish them every success with their new CD and
future gigs here and in the rest of the region.
