BOWNESS Bay Blues is a brand-new music festival in a stunning setting – on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District. Some of Britain’s best blues musicians will soon be raising the roof in this beautiful little town!
Topping the bill on Friday night will be harmonica maestro Paul Lamb and the King Snakes, with their red-hot brand of blues, boogie and swing. Saturday’s headliner will be blues diva Connie Lush, five times voted Best British Female Vocalist, by readers of Blues in Britain magazine. The Sunday highlight will be the Jon Amor Blues Group, a dynamic young band who have been captivating new fans all over Europe with the raw energy of their sound.
The festival will also feature: Off The Hook, the Roy Metté Band, the Stuart Dixon Band, Secure Unit, Stark, Al Hughes, and Buzz Elliot, as well as local bands the Elderly Brothers and Evie Plumb.
With top-quality, up-tempo rhythm and blues music on offer all weekend – in some wonderfully atmospheric lakeside music venues – this festival will definitely be one to remember.
