Some news from Gary White of upcoming Bluefunk shows:

12th May at The Wharf , Macclesfield – Manatees
Unsure yet if Mark, our keyboard player will be with us as he has had a family bereavement. We have covered our backs and added a second guitarist so we will still be five-piece, possibly six. Free entry.
17th May at The WMC Poynton – The Jay Tamkin Band plus Tantrum
A bill packed with young British blues talent and worth every penny of the the £8 ticket. Jay, a fine young guitarist has a line up the same as Schofield with an organist playing left hand bass. This young player/writer has justifiably built himself a worthy reputation and following on the British blues club and festival circuit.
Tantrum last appeared for us as openers for the mighty Hoax, and proved themselves to be a very energetic and exciting original blues/rock bands.
There are not many guitarists with the balls to try and hold their own with Jesse Davey and Jon Amor but young Jamie Walker can and did. Book yourself in for this one now.
18th May at Amuse Restaurant, Chestergate, Macclesfield  – Rhythm Zoo
The silky blues vocals of Andi Harrison and her fine band make an appearance at this quirky venue in Macclesfield fast establishing as a pukka venue for quality performances. free entry. To book a table (should you wish to dine)  01625 664404 or sit in the bar and enjoy some their local ales.
26th May at Sutton Scout HQ, Church Lane, Sutton, Macclesfield. Raising funds in support of Sutton Scouts going to the First National Jamboree in Denmark. George Borowski and the Fabulous Wonderfuls,+ Manatees (with special guests) + Jimmy Lynch and Liam Ward
As my alter ego I am a Scout leader and I am taking the opportunity to combine this with my role as a promoter and bringer of fine things to you all, and try and raise a few bob to subsidise an expedition to an international event in Denmark. What better way than provide a night’s cracking entertainment from three excellent acts.
They are all providing their services gratis which is extremely generous on a Saturday night. Now all I have to do is to provide an audience. The event is fully licensed and the venue is superb and seated at tables cabaret style. Please support this if you can it is very important to me personally. A poster is attached with all the details.
Tickets are available locally to the venue or through me as usual.
21st-24th June –  Barnaby Arts Festival  Macclesfield
Some fabulous stuff on here. Some ticketed, lots free.Details to follow.
31st August at Cabin 5150, Macclesfield – Ian Siegal
Another coup for the Cabin. A fair bit of time away but you need to know about this now. Aside of Mark Schofield (been there, done that) the most requests for any artist I have had is for Ian Siegal. Well here you have him. You need to know about this now because it is likely to be a sellout. Remember the cabin is small and gorgeous (bit like me). People come and and fall in love with the venue as well as the artists. It will take no time sell out 65 tickets for Siegal at £10. He will be playing solo and has a reputation unsurpassed as a solo performer. Ask anyone who has had the experience. Already selling via his website and Ents24. You have been warned.
