The Ironworks, Oswestry, Shropshire

Worlds Biggest Events are not ones for watching Saturday night ‘talent’ contests. But back in 2007 Channel 4’s Orange Unsigned was a music talent show with real musicians….and on a Sunday morning. York’s Hijack Oscar took to the stage and wowed the audience and judges with the originality, with Alex James stating ‘I love you guys’. Their time on the show was short lived, as in Round 2 they quit the show after Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley stated they were the best band in the competition but weren’t commercial enough! Hijack Oscar didn’t mind as they were just using the show for exposure. Two fantastic albums later front man Mr T.I.G Fox formed Fox North Coalition. Their debut album receiving rave reviews.
