There will be two  blues nights as part of the Lymm Festival this year.

Monday, 2nd July, 2012

Tom Doughty – Lymm Golf Club, 7.30 pm

Regular festival-goers will remember Tom’s superb performances over the past few years including the festival’s first ever blues night in 2005.

The past 12 months have been particularly successful for Tom culminating in a guest spot supporting Craig Ogden on the main stage at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall in October 2011. So we are very pleased that this brilliant singer/songwriter has agreed to perform ‘An Evening with Tom Doughty’ at this year’s festival.

Supporting Tom on what promises to be a great night of acoustic music will be local singer/songwriter Richard Knott.

Admission is £7.

Sunday, 8th July, 2012

Bare Wires – Lymm Golf Club, 8 pm

The Lymm Festival is also pleased to welcome Bare WIires for the band’s first ever appearance at the festival blues night at Lymm Golf Club on Sunday, 8th July, at 8pm.

This highly respected five-piece band from the Manchester area has backed many visiting bluesmen over the past 20 years including Lowell Fulson, Mojo Buford and Phil Guy, and the band is now firmly established on the British blues scene.

The current line up of Chris Gee (harmonica and vocals), Paul Gilchrist (lead and slide guitar), Andy Schemet (bass), Paul Minshull (keyboards) and Jon Lowe (drums) will provide the 2012 Lymm Festival with a rousing musical finale, so make sure you get there early!

Admission is £10.

Tickets for both gigs may be purchased on line from the Lymm Festival website or in person from the Lymm Festival box office. Details of all the festival events are available from the website at www.lymmfestival.org.uk
