Dani Wilde – True Blues Club, Earlestown
The second part of this unplugged blues show was performed by the headliners, The Dani Wilde Band. Dani and her band have had some success over the past few years, and has toured part of the USA and parts of Europe, but Dani is still very keen to do more live gigs here at home, promoting her latest C D, entitled, “ Juice Me Up”.
Dani as a singer songwriter and performer plays and sings from past works to the present, as part of her overall show. Dani is petite in stature but has boundless energy, however there is a soulful mellow maturity about her, or as I witnessed, a down right power surge which she can just turn on to suit at the drop of a hat it seems.
Dani’s performance therefore is as you would expect full on, and mature, all the songs are her own original works, she is a very talented lady indeed and this can be heard as an acoustic set in this case or a full on electric band which is on the cd.
Dani’s band consists of her friend and fellow musician, guitarist and backing singer Stuart Dixon and Dani’s brother Will Wilde on harmonica and a percussion slap box. Dani is now in the enviable position for world domination – she is astute enough to do it and I think the world would be a better place for it.
Dani since leaving University has worked in Kenya and has helped with funds to try to secure a future for some of the local girls, helping with education and trying to make a difference for some of these children, I wish her well in all she tries to achieve in both the world of music and compassion.
