Saturday, 14th July, 2012

This is the 19th Folk in the Park, the annual open-air concert which is  the centre-piece of the Biddulph Festival, a series of independent and community events which take place throughout July.

The format is similar to other years, where people enjoy over five and a half hours of great music in the wonderful setting of Biddulph Grange Country Park.

People are encouraged to bring their own picnics, food, drink, tables and chairs and either sit and listen, or get up and dance to four different styles of music.

There is always a great family atmosphere with people of all ages mix together to some great music in a trouble free environment.

This year we have another great lineup….with The Slippery Hill Boys (foot stomping bluegrass), Nightflight (a talented rock band  from Macclesfield), The Bowden/Williamson electric blues band (featuring Johnny “Guitar” Williamson (who has just left The Animals to concentrate on his blues band), ending with Whiskey River, a fabulous cajun/rock band to really get everyone dancing.

Admission: £12 before 1st July, £13 from 2nd-13th July, £15 on the day.

(Children under 12 are free if accompanied by a responsible adult)

No price increase…….but sorry no concessions this year.

Tickets can be obtained from Eric Cox, 155, Congleton Road, Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs ST8 6QJ.

Start: 5.30p.m. to 11.00p.m. ……but people start to arrive mid-afternoon.
