Paolo Fushci and friends entertained the packed crowd at this brilliant venue in Chorley. Paolo was joined on stage by Tim Moscrop, the “master” on the Stratocaster. Tim plays with Paolo in the band Fuschi4, based in Manchester, who have an established following there and a growing reputation in the North West.

On the drums was Phil Bennett, who has known Paolo for about a two years and plays with Paolo in the Franny Eubank Blues Jam band at the famous Matt and Phreds Blues Club in Manchester – and joining these three magical musicians was Mike Edmonds, a session musician of some repute, on a rocking funky bass guitar – again from the Manchester area, and who had not met or played with this set up before – just amazing.

They played various covers from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton –  you name it and it was in there it seemed – just a fantastic mix of genres from blues to swing, to rock and roll, the best from the best. The surprises didn’t stop there either, as late into the proceedings another friend of Paolo’s, Pete Wherry, entered the arena, set up his electric piano and blended into the set without any fuss or disruption such was the overall calibre of the musicians set before us – just fantastic and a great atmosphere.

Paolo Fuschi has a reputation for playing with the best musicians that Manchester and the North West area can offer – more power to your elbow my friend, making live music an art form for the rest of us to relish.
