Johnny’s Blues Club started life as ‘Blues at the Liverpool Marina’ in November 2005 with the prime objective of presenting live performances by top class blues and  artistes from the UK and abroad. The programme of shows covers the broad spectrum of the genre from Delta and Piedmont acoustic styles, through Chicago and West Coast influences to rocking Texas blues. Quality entertainment and variety are guaranteed.’ – John & Lorraine Welsh

Our concert year continued with the visit of Rev Doc & The Congregation to Fogherty’s Function Room in October. This gig was really well attended and shows what a following the lads from Glasgow now have in Liverpool. lt was a tremendous night of raw blues. The David Raphael Band with Norrie “Snakebite” Burnett completed the year’s entertainment with their ooncert back at Liverpool Marina. lt was a first visit to Liverpool for this band from London and they went down very well indeed. lt is always pleasing when a new band receive such a warm welcome and put on a great snow.

We decided to have a break for a few months in order to recharge our batteries for the events in 2013. It will also give our supporters the chance of a rest from my constant pestering. We start off the New Year with The Producers appearing at Foghertys.
