The Lymm Festival committee is pleased to announce that this year’s Lymm Fest will take place at various venues located near to the centre of the village from 7:30pm on Saturday 22nd June.
You can spend an enjoyable evening promenading between each of the venues and listening to some of the best local musical talent around. From folk to Americana and from swing to jazz there should be something here for everyone to enjoy.
The BOAT STAGE in the centre of the village is set to provide a fabulous evening of blues, swing and jive. Lymm Festival favourite Tommy Allen will open proceedings with a first ever solo acoustic set featuring some great blues standards and a selection of his own compositions. Tommy is one half of the legendary Blues Duo who provided us with a fantastic Winter Warmer gig back in January, so make sure that you don’t miss his first ever solo set!
The evening will headline with a first ever Lymm Festival performance from Little Jo and The Misfits, a six-piece band from Runcorn playing blues, rockabilly, jazz and jive. The band will take you on a journey through time with some outstanding tracks from the greats including Little Walter, Willie Dixon, Paloma Faith, Etta James, Imelda May, Johnny Burnette and Madeleine Peyroux.
At THE BOOT ROOM you can enjoy the best of contemporary and traditional folk music that the region has to offer. Popular local singer Helen Monks and friends are set to provide a terrific American Songbook evening at the BRIDGEWATER CLUB, and don’t forget local artists The Black Sheep who will be appearing at THE VENUE in Rectory Lane. Please keep watching the Festival website and we will let you have more details including performance times a bit nearer the date once all the artists are confirmed. We will also let you know where to exchange your ticket for a wristband to allow you entry into each of the venues on the night. This promises to be one of the most popular events on the Festival calendar so early booking is advised!
