The Dale Storr Trio – Liverpool Marina: Thursday 18.07.13

Doors 8 pm; show 8.45 pm

Dale Storr’s musical journey has taken him from his rural Lincolnshire upbringing to his own musical ‘Mecca’, New Orleans. Inspired by ‘The Big Easy’s’ legendary pianists, Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair and Allen Toussaint, Dale is now recognised as the UK’s leading exponent of New Orleans piano.

Joining Dale in the trio are drummer Dave Raeburn and bassist Paul Mallatratt. Dave is without doubt one of the best drummers on the blues scene in the UK. He has toured with The Hoax, The Nimmo Brothers, Bob Hall and many more top bands across Europe and the world. Paul is a classically trained double bass player, who is well versed in a wide range of musical styles. He was also the last bass player to back the late Kevin Thorpe, which guarantees exceptional quality.

In short, The Dale Storr Trio comprises three exceptional musicians, who deliver the infectious sounds of New Orleans to the highest standard. This is a gig that cannot fail to delight.
