It was a cracking night’s entertainment and The Cans from the Stockport area certainly raised the roof – yes plenty of fizz here, to tickle the taste buds.

Frontman and lead vocalist Steve Mullen was on holiday when the call came through – step forward Andy Millington, he did a sterling job and his skills were apparent from the very start taking on the lead vocal role and rhythm/lead guitar, shared with second lead guitar, Rik Roberts with some wonderful solos from this accomplished musician, he normally plays keys for the band when at full strength. the rhythm section, the ‘engine room’ of the band, were, on a humming bass guitar Nolan Worthington and ‘skin’ man Andy Marshall.

The Cans played a mix of blues covers,” Cocaine”, “Bring It On Home To Me”, “Red House”, “Boom Boom”, “Route 66” ,” You Really Got Me”, “All Along The Watchtower” and many more, classic after classic. This was a good show and the packed crowd danced the night away it was hot night in more ways than one, Brilliant.
