Here’s the latest BJ’s update
THE END OF AN ERA AT THE HOP POCKET
AND THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ONE…..
Heidi and I would like to make you all aware that because of the continuous problems at The Hop Pocket that it is with much trepidation that I have to say we little option to ‘call time’ for BJ’s at The Hop Pocket .
In view of the continued lack of basic services and hospitality Heidi and I have reluctantly decided to move BJ’s to The Minstrel on Eaves Green which is able to provide all the amenities that The Hop Pocket is unable to. The seating and table layout isn’t as ideal as The Hop Pocket but as the licensee is very accommodating and so imbued with enthusiasm in developing live music at The Minstrel this may hopefully prove to be a fortuitous move for BJ’s. The Minstrel have do a fully stocked bar with weekly deliveries every Wednesday.
This whole process of change of venue will be an upheaval for all of us but after much soul searching and considering all the other options we felt too many supporters and bands would miss out on the only weekly and most successful free entry blues orientated club in the North West. All band bookings will be honoured and we are hoping that all of you will continue to support BJ’s as we move forward into better times.
The first gig at The Minstrel will be Poor Boy next week 15th May, at 9.30 pm
The Minstrel, Eaves Green Road, Chorley, PR7 3PF
New gig cards for May/June at The Minstrel will be available on Thursday.
Thanking you all for your support.
Yours in music
Lucas & Heidi
