This band based in the Bolton area returned to entertain the crowd and that they did. The double strike force of Rick Lucas and Mark Hopkins-  both excellent lead guitarists and vocalists and masters of the blues/swing/surf genre which has a different take from the normal blues that we are all used to.

The rhythm section are bassist and vocalist Aaron Lloyd and the time-master Col Schofield on drums and backing vocals – this is an excellent pairing, they rock, and as an added bonus joining the band for this performance was ex Bare Wires keys man Bryn Ford. His intertwining play added to the overall round sound and his solos and bridging play were brilliant, he is a solid musician.

The Mighty Revelators got together in 2009 band have had some success with their last CD entitled “Hits & Misfits” – packed with original works penned by the band and is still available.

Their follow up C D entitled “Eyes On The Road” is again full of original works and is to be released very soon. The packed audience were given an ample taste of the old and the new – brilliant music to listen and dance too, another band at its peak.

Mark Hopkins tells me that later on in the year they are off to Germany and have secured three gigs with an option for more as the tour goes ahead great news for a band that are spreading their Mighty Revelators wings.
