September’s live music month ended with an exceptionally talented band from Lancaster. Tin Pan Alley came to entertain and that they did.

Fronted by Nigel ‘Tanny Tanton’ on lead guitars and lead vocals, he gave an outstanding performance. Tanny’s guitar work is legendary, he certainly nails the classic riffs and solos and his vocals certainly hit the spot. The rhythm section of Graham Goral on a wicked throbbing bass and Kevin ‘Cochise’ Cook on drums were just brilliant together, they are musicians of the highest calibre.

The first set included classics from Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin and to finish the set the song “Freebird” from Lynyrd Skynyrd, the crowd went nuts, brilliant stuff. The second set kicked off with “I Thank You”’ from ZZ Top, followed by Joe Bonamassa, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Free, Montrose, Gary Moore, with Led Zeppelin to finish, classic after classic.

A brilliant show from a band that have set the bench mark for others to follow – fantastic.
