Eric Bell is truly a legendary guitarist and musician.

As the founding member, and original guitarist of Thin Lizzy he has become in many people’s eyes, ‘The Guitarist’s Guitarist’.

Eric’s innovative guitar solos on classic rock tracks, such as ‘Whiskey in the Jar’, ‘The Rocker’ and ‘Hero and the Madman’ along with so many more, have rightly attracted cult status over the years.

His blues-based solos are spectacular yet at the same time have a phrasing and feel which reflect purely and uniquely Eric Bell’s identity. The blend of melody with virtuoso blues that Eric achieves with his music has in many music lovers opinions never been replicated, let alone bettered.

Eric has featured heavily with the festivals and gigs to remember and pay respects to the much missed Phil Lynott and Gary Moore.

For me, Eric Bell was the reason I wanted to play the electric guitar.

It is an honour and a privilege to welcome him to Cheshire, and to Alderley Edge on the evening of December 12, 2014 to headline this Blues Celebration.

A night that will never be forgotten.
