‘Blow me down, the man can sing to wake the dead. I mean that special, smoky voice that only the best can bleed and only the average can imitate. Bridgwater’s voice is special’ – KERRANG! Magazine
Slowburner are a four-piece live blues band from the Midlands who play R&B the way Brits are not supposed to be able to. Calling upon a deep love and understanding of traditional blues, fused with an unparalleled level of performance experience, they have built a reputation as one of the UK’s very best live acts.
Slowburner have toured with Thunder and Wishbone Ash and shared stages with the likes of Dr Feelgood, Budgie and Ian Gillan. They regularly play at blues festivals around the country and Robert Plant has joined them on stage several times. The band members are: Paul Bridgwater (vocals), Rob Newell (bass guitar), Mike Bannister (guitar) and Dave Small (drums).
Music fans should not miss this rare opportunity to see them on Saturday, 18th April, 9 pm, at Netherhall Rugby Club, Crosby Street, Maryport, CA15 6JX.
