Making their debut here in Chorley were four young talented musicians from the Warrington area. This Fab Four took us back to the 50s and 60s a great time for British music, a boom time indeed and some would say that this was the starter of the very commercial pop era. Liam Mannion on lead guitar (Vox) ( Hofner) and vocals, was superb his solos and his guitar skills were far beyond his years, a mature performance, and the overall sound created by the band was tremendous, yes the Mersey Sound is alive and well in the hands of these young guns.

The rhythm section of Matthew Gallagher on a fiddle bass guitar (Paul McCartney) and Jamie Jones on (Gretsch) drums kept busy and drove the band from hit to hit, lastly on rhythm/lead guitar with vocals was Philip Murry. The band played to a packed house and the dancing went on and on, foot tapping stuff.

With wonderful renditions of “Roll over Beethoven” “Be Bop a Lula” “Bye Bye Love” “Rip It Up” “Mustang Sally” too “Long Tall Sally” and with other classics from Ray Charles, Chuck Berry and the Everly Brothers the house was jumpin’ another great night for live music. Two of the bands original songs “Lucy “and I’ll Never Say I Love You” are retro 60s in composition and very good they were too, a re visit to the Cavern I think, watch this space.
