Gig: Grass Roots Music Festival – Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton

Bank Holiday Monday: 7th May

Perch Rock sees the first Grass Roots Music Festival on Merseyside, a superb mixture of folk, bluegrass and blues performed by top-line leading national and local artists.

Anthony John Clarke – 30 years of national and international performances; songs of emotion to hilarity – outstanding.

Chris Moreton – An award winning top rated Bluegrass guitarist with over 40 years’ experience – a great talent and a great entertainer.

Harbour Moon – Close harmonies, emotive original songs and humour when you least expect it – all wrapped around the song writing talent of local musician Paul Reaney.

The Phil Chisnall Band – Blues and slide guitar and a wide range of styles; local artist Phil has had packed shows at the Guitar Festival at the Floral Pavilion

Jaywalkers –Unbridled local talent, brilliant musicians mixed with Jays’ spectacular voice; runners up in Radio 2’s Young Folk Musicians of the Year – brilliant.

Rip Roaring Success –Western Swing with Old Time, brilliant exiting local talent a rip roaring foot tapping time.

Steve Barker – Host and compere for the day – a local singer songwriter giving a mix of humour, own songs and those of others over a variety of styles from folk to bluegrass to blues.

12:00 noon until approx. 8:30pm with an open mic afterwards for ticket holders, closes at 10:30pm
