A little out of our catchment area, but here’s news of a fine-looking weekend featuring acoustic and slide maestro Michael Messer:
‘Michael Messer’s Acoustic Blues Weekend’ at Pocklington Arts Centre, North Yorkshire.
15th – 16th – 17th November 2013
Meeting on Friday 15th November at midday and classes starting at 1:30 pm through until 5:00 pm.
Saturday classes run from 10:00 am through to 5:00 pm.
Saturday night – there will be a Michael Messer & Ed Genis concert which is also open to the public – tickets £10 from the box office, and on the door.
Sunday classes will start at 10:30 through until 4:00 pm (Michael Messer & Ed Genis – A class/workshop about playing in a duo and how we arrange the guitar parts)Tutors:Michael Messer – Bottleneck slide guitar, lap steel guitar.
Ed Genis – Acoustic blues guitar (incorporating fingerpicked country blues, rhythm and lead playing in an acoustic blues setting).
