Since they formed in Brighton in 2011, blues/roots/rock trio Stark have built a strong following and gained a reputation for their superlative musicianship. The band’s latest CD, ‘Stories From The Ground’, has seen them move up another gear.
They have had tracks played by Paul Jones and Huey Morgan on Radio 2, reviews have been appearing in major blues and rock publications, and Stark have played at festivals all over the country as well as top London venues, including the 100 Club and Dingwalls.
Led by Jamie Francis on vocals and resonator guitar, the band also features gifted bassist Josh Franklin and sought-after drummer Evan Carson. They are looking forward to bringing their unique sound to Maryport (Jamie’s home town) on New Year’s Day for a very special gig at the Navy Club, 4pm, free entry.

Also confirmed for the Overton on Dee Blues and real ale festival on May 9th. This is the new venue following on from the successful Bangor on Dee and Worthenbury festivals of the last 10 years. Check out the band’s YouTube clip of Death Letter Blues. A band with a great future
