Skipping 1st January and landing on the 8th Jim’s next one is gravid with interest. His guests this time are two absurdly talented young players. Both have appeared at Bluefunk before and will consequently be known to many of you. It has however been some time that either have played for us.

Jamie last played (I think) when his band Tantrum opened for the Hoax in 2010 and impressed an awful lot of us.

Dewi played played for Bluefunk with Rough Twist several Christmas parties ago when Jim was also playing. Dewi, very young at the time stepped up and guested with Jim that night. He was excellent and has never forgotten the experience, wanting to rejoin Heavy Weather ever since, for another go. That day has come.

This has to be exciting, two young Turks trying to turn over the guvnor, delicious.

The winner  of the complimentary tickets (drawn from the VIP list)  for Jim and Steve was Chris Loughlin. He unfortunately did not show up.
